In Jungian psychology, projection is the process of attributing one’s own unconscious thoughts, feelings, or traits to another person. This often happens unconsciously and can distort our perception of others. This process can lead to misunderstandings and conflicts in relationships but it can also serve as a means to understand ourselves better. The issue is not that we project, but that we leave the projection out on the person or idea and do not integrate it into our larger personality. I will be exploring ways to look at this issue.
