What is the structure of the book club?2024-05-18T14:25:29+00:00

The book club takes place online via Zoom. We read one book per season and meet about twice a month on Sundays to discuss our insights and share our experiences. In addition, members have access to workshops organized around the topic of the season.

Do I need to talk/participate?2024-05-10T23:09:03+00:00

You may show up as you wish. Camera on or off. There is no pressure or expectation for you to participate or talk. Sometimes, you may only want to listen in and that is totally acceptable. I only ask that you briefly introduce yourself on the first day of each season. I never pressure anyone to speak or put anyone on the spot to respect your personal space and preferences.

Do I need to finish the readings in order to engage in the discussions?2024-05-10T23:09:50+00:00

While I encourage everyone to make time for the readings, I absolutely understand that life happens and we cannot always make time or have the focus in our lives to sit down and read. I organize the sessions with slides containing quotes or passages that I found to be worthy of discussion. In this way, everyone can contribute, even if they have not necessarily read or finished the books. We meet to discuss these topics that reveal life lessons in general and it is a guide to go deeper into our own personal experiences. There is no judgment about whether or not you choose to actually read the books. You are welcome to join our sessions whichever way fits you best. Our discussions tend to go beyond the books we are reading, creating an open space for contribution.
