Bani’s Book Club presents: Art as Shadow Work with Keila Shaheen
Date: December 1st, 2024
Time:
2pm PST
Host: Bani Hosseini
Art as Shadow Work: Using creative expression to reveal and process your shadow.
This workshop invites you to uncover the hidden layers of your psyche through the transformative power of art. This experience is designed to guide you in exploring your inner world without judgment, and to experience the practice of shadow work through a unique approach— creative expression.
Through creative expression—drawing, painting, writing, or collaging—you’ll learn to give form to the unspoken emotions, fears, and desires that reside in your shadow. We’ll explore how symbolic imagery and abstract forms can act as mirrors, reflecting aspects of yourself that words alone cannot capture.
By channeling your emotions into tangible creations, you’ll not only bring your shadow into the light but also create a safe space for healing, acceptance, and self-discovery. Come ready to express, release, and reconnect with the parts of yourself waiting to be seen.
No artistic experience required—just bring an open mind and a willingness to explore.
